What is Stoneware?Â
- It gets its shape and color from white kaolin clay; its glassy appearance from quartz stone; and its hard and durable structure from feldspar minerals.
- It is resistant to scratches thanks to its hard structure, which is formed by glazing at a higher temperature than ceramics, above 1200°C. It is not affected by acid.
- It resists cracking because its porosity, i.e. porous structure, is low. It also does not absorb water and does not harbor bacteria. It does not contain taste and odor.
- It is healthy because it does not contain heavy metals such as lead.
